Ask any distributor what actually keeps customers coming back, and the answer is rarely a single hero product. It is sameness. The bottle a shopper buys in October should taste the way the one they bought in June did. At Tihu, that consistency does not start on the bottling line. It starts in the field, with the people who grow the fruit.
The open market rewards the wrong things
Buying produce on the open market is convenient, but it averages everything out. A trader blends a strong lot with a weak one, mixes farms and seasons, and passes on whatever the week delivered. You inherit that variation, and so does your retailer.
We built our sourcing to avoid exactly that. Tihu produce comes through farmer networks across Northeast India, from growers we work with season after season rather than whoever happens to be selling.
Growers we come back to
Long-term grower relationships change the quality conversation. When the same farms supply us year on year, expectations are known before harvest, not argued over at the gate. Selected produce is chosen for ripeness and condition, and what does not meet the standard does not enter the plant.
This is responsibly sourced fruit from a defined region, not an anonymous commodity. That single-origin story is one of the most useful things a distributor can carry, because it is true and it is easy to retell on the shelf.
One plant, one standard
Sourcing is only half of consistency. The other half is control after the fruit arrives. Every Tihu product is made at our own plant at the AIDC Industrial Estate in Tihu, Dist. Nalbari, Assam, so the same standard applies from intake to packing.
Before dispatch, batches go through batch-level internal quality checks. Our pineapple juice is extracted from fruits, not from concentrate and not re-constituted, with no added sugar and no added colour. Because the plant is ours, that specification is held in-house rather than hoped for from a supplier.
You can walk that journey on our plant and process page, and see the full range that comes off it.
Consistency is what a distributor resells
For a shopper, all of this shows up quietly, as a product that behaves the way the last one did. For a distributor, it is the whole business case. When a retailer reorders, they are reordering an experience their own customers had, and batch-to-batch consistency is what makes that reorder safe to promise.
Carrying Tihu means you are not reselling a trader's stock of unknown origin. You are retailing a named plant in Assam, a farmer network you can talk about, and a range built to arrive the same each time. We operate under FSSAI Lic. No. 10326999000102.
